NSUI workers face lathi-charge protesting Agniveer scheme

Bikaner: Police in Bikaner lathicharged the National Students Union of India (NSUI) workers protesting against the Central govt’s Agniveer Scheme. Govt Dungar College President Hari Godara, former president Krishna Godara, and others were injured in the lathi-charge.

NSUI workers reached the Collectorate premises at around 1 pm to protest. The police had put up barricades to stop them. When NSUI workers broke the barricade, the police lathi-charged.

Led by NSUI state president Vinod Jakhar, the NSUI workers moved from Ganga Theater towards the Collectorate. The police allowed some leaders including NSUI state president Vinod Jakhar to collectorate while others were present outside.
