NCB Jaipur Conducts Successful Operation, Arrests Individual in Illegal Trafficking of Poppy Straw (Doda) in Deeg, Rajasthan

Rajasthan: We are pleased to inform you of a successful operation conducted by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Jaipur on the intervening night of April 16th /17th, 2024, resulting in the apprehension of an individual involved in the trafficking of Poppy Straw (Doda). 

Acting on credible intelligence, the operation was carried out under the vigilant supervision of Sh Ghanasyam Soni, IRS, Zonal Director, Jodhpur & Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Seizure Details: 

The accused, de-boarded the train at Bharatpur Junction on the night of April 16th and further proceeded to Deeg via bus. Upon matching the suspect's details with the provided information, the individual, identified as Ravi Saini, was intercepted at Nagar Road, near Bus Stand Deeg, and subsequently taken into custody at Police Station Sadar, Deeg, for further legal proceedings.

A criminal case has been registered under NCB Crime No. - 06/2024/Jaipur, dated April 17, 2024, citing the seizure of 16.560 KGs of Poppy Straw (Doda) under Sections 8, 15, and 29 of NDPS Act 1985, with an estimated market value of Rs. 2,48,400/-. 

The accused, Ravi Saini, son of Sh. Deshraj, residing at Ward Number 11, Ganj, District Alwar, Rajasthan-301405, has been apprehended, and further investigation and interrogation are currently underway.
