NCB field office to open at Indo Pak border in Sri Ganganagar
Jodhpur: Stepping up the crackdown against drug smugglers, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Director Ghanshyam Soni said that the bureau’s field office will be opened on the India-Pakistan border in Sri Ganganagar and its approval has been received. Soni stated that the home ministry of the GoI has given approval for opening the office. He said that drug smuggling would be curbed by coordinating with agencies and using drones across the border.
“Smuggling is done mostly from Punjab and the activity of smugglers is increasing in Sri Ganganagar and Raisinghnagar. NCB’s goal is to stop this,” he said. Soni said that after Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Telangana, the Anti Narco Task Force (ANTF) was formed like other states under the direction of Rajasthan CM. He said that ADG VK Singh has been entrusted with the responsibility.
