Municipality pays Rs 4.6 lakh after vehicle seizure orders

Sirohi: After the attachment of the vehicle of district collector Alpa Chaudhary on direction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court, Pindwara Municipality today submitted a check amounting to Rs 4,60,908 in the name of the victim Sonu Kaur as per the permanent Lok Adalat’s ruling. This check was presented in compliance with the court’s order.

The ACJM court had ordered the attachment of the vehicle of District Collector Alpa Chaudhary for failing to deposit the amount.

Sources said that had the previous collector made timely decisions, the court would not have been compelled to initiate the vehicle attachment proceedings against the current district collector. Now Collector Alpa Chaudhary has ensured adherence to the court’s directives.
