Jodhpur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot visited Hotel Lake View as a simple worker during his stay in Jodhpur where Gehlot was received by local Congress office bearers. Along with meeting the workers, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot laos spoke to party leaders. Notably, preparations are already being made for the assembly elections to be held next year wherein Gehlot is preparing to break the myth in Rajasthan as efforts are going on in Rajasthan to form the Congress government for two consecutive terms. During the meet, many people also gave memorandums to Gehlot regarding their various demands. While addressing the workers’ conference, Gehlot said that sitting in Jaipur, his pen addresses the people’s demands.

I remained strong so MLA stayed with me for 34 days,” he said. Gehlot added, “There is no need to tell about the contribution of Congress in 70 years. When PM Modi goes abroad, the respect he gets, is all due to sacrifice of Congress leaders. Whereas Modi is proud of himself, but governance can be run only by taking pride in heritage. How can anyone erase Pt Nehru’s name? PM Modi doesn’t take name of Pt Nehru in Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The RSS had distanced itself from politics. Statues of RSS leaders are being installed.”

Gehlot said that in 28 years, he had become CongDist Prez, also went to jail under the Jail Bharo campaign. “Senior Congress leaders made me an MP during Vajpayee’s time. I had a respectful relationship with him.” Referring to former CM Vasundhara Raje, he said that Raje had termed Gehlot’s frequent visit to Delhi for special package to alleviate famine related shortages as begging before the Centre. I had said at that time that if I have to do this for the good of the public, I will do it,” he said. Rahul Gandhi will launch Bharat Jodo Abhiyan. “We have requested PM to come forward & say that he won’t tolerate violence under, but why isn’t he giving this message?
