Missing Tiger MT–5 traced in Mukundra Hills Reserve
Kota: The forest officials of Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve on Wednesday took a respite following the missing Tiger MT-5 was tracked.
Officials informed the signal from the radio collar on the MT-5 was lost five days ago and the wild cat had not sighted since then. “The forest officials received the signal on Wednesday morning, following which, they heaved a sigh of relief.
Four special teams were formed to track the tiger and now strict monitoring is being done by the officials. Assistance from Dabi and Borav ranges were also taken in the tracking operation,” informed an official. Notably, at present, there is only one tiger and one tigress in Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve. Tiger MT-5 had also crossed Chambal River after leaving Seljar area and reached Ambe Rani area of Jawahar Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary.
