Barmer: An ATM was uprooted and Rs 38 lakh was looted by five masked men in Barmer’s Kawas town on Tuesday night. Police informed the police that the incident occurred around 3 am on Wednesday when five masked miscreants arrived in a Bolero car and uprooted the ATM.

“The miscreants loaded the SBI ATM into their vehicle and vanished into the air within a few minutes. The ATM was filled with Rs. 38 lakhs. The incident has been captured on CCTV cameras,” police added.

“The watchman had gone to his home when the incident took place. The watchman and company officials involved in loading money inside the ATM are being questioned,” said Barmer Additional SP Narpat Singh.
