Milk to be purchased at Rs 41.20/kg: Raje
Jhalrapatan: Former CM Vasundhara Raje said that Saras Dairy in the city will not be allowed to be closed. She said that the dairy management should work by setting a target of taking annual turnover of this dairy to Rs 1,000 crore. In a program organized at dairy complex on Sunday on “Milk Day” under aegis of Jhalawar District Milk Producers Union Limited, Raje said that in the last 30 years, farmers have been getting water from small anicut and medium irrigation projects in the district. Efforts are being made to provide water to the fields of more and more farmers through sprinkler irrigation.
She advised the cattle farmers to increase milk production by improving the breed of animals. And instead of taking subsidies, farmers should grow fodder themselves and increase milk production. Keeping in mind the demands of milk producers, the former CM announced to increase in the price of purchase of milk from dairies from Rs 39.40 to Rs 41.20 from February 1.
In the program, MLA Govind Ranipuria, Dist Chief Prem Bai, senior BJP leader Nirmal Kumar Saklecha, Shyamsundar Sharma, Dist Organization Incharge Chhagan Mahur, Municipality President Varsha Manish Chandwad, and others were also present.
