MENTALLY ILL TEEN RAPED IN ALWAR

Alwar: A 19-year-old mentally challenged girl was allegedly raped by an elderly man in Alwar’s Nauganwa area, police said. Police informed the victim was raped by her neighbour while her mother was working in the fields. “The incident occurred at around 12pm on October 2. The girl was alone at her home when the 60-year-old man, residing in neighbourhood, entered into the house and raped her,” Assistant Superintendent of Police Sarita Singh said. “When the victim’s mother arrived at home, she found her clothes messed up. Later, she came to know that an elderly man had come into the house,” she added. “The medical examination confirmed that the victim was raped. The accused was produced before a court and has been taken on police remand,” police informed.
