Marwar festival kicks off after two years of pause
Jodhpur: The two-day Marwar festival started on Saturday morning with sun worship by the Rajasthan Tourism Department and Jodhpur district administration. It was not organized for the last two times due to Corona, but this time , tremendous enthusiasm is being seen among people.
Marwar festival started with sun worship at Jaipol parking lot in Mehrangarh Fort. After this, the Clock Tower via Juni Paddy Mandi Heritage Walk was taken out from Jaipol. At the same time, a festive procession was taken out from clock tower, which reached the Umaid Stadium. Dr Sarita Fidoda, Assistant Director of Tourism Department said that the Camel Tattoo Show and Military Weapons Exhibition were organized by the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Camel Tattoo Show was the main attraction. Camel fest was performed by 50 BSF Camels. After this, various folk competitions were also held at Stadium itself. Kite flying, Mustache and Safa making competition and matka race were also held.
