Man gets 20-yr RI for sodomising minor boy

Rajsamand: The Rajsamand District POCSO Court on Saturday sentenced Laxmi Shankar, accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy, to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. Besides the sentence, Judge Sunil Kumar Pancholi also slapped a monetary fine of Rs 26,000 on the accused.

Special Public Prosecutor Rahul Sanadhya told that on October 16, 2019, the father of the victim child presented a report in the police station Kankroli that his son was sitting near the house. Then the accused middle-aged Laxmi Shankar lured the boy and took him to his house, where his son was given an intoxicated cold drink, after which the accused performed obscene acts with his son. When he resisted, he threatened to kill him.

Police station Kankroli registered the case and after conducting the necessary research, a chargesheet was presented against the accused in the POCSO court. Special Public Prosecutor Rahul Sanadhya recorded the statements of 9 witnesses and got 15 documents displayed.
