Man ‘dies by suicide’ in a police station in Udaipur

Udaipur: A young man died by suicide by hanging himself from a shoelace in police custody at the Parsad police station in the district. The police removed the dead body from the noose and brought it to the CHC in Parsad, where the doctors declared him dead. The deceased Arjun Lal Meena (28), a resident of Baroda Jhallara, eloped a few days ago with a woman. While searching upon the report of the victim’s relatives, the police arrested the girl and detained the youth. He was brought to the police station for questioning. Where in police custody, the young man committed suicide by hanging himself from a peg made in the barrack with a shoelace.
