Malinga gets 15 days JC, found Covid positive and quarantined

Dholpur: Bari Congress MLA Giriraj Singh Malinga, who is in jail in case of assaulting an Assistant Engineer, has tested positive for corona virus.

Earlier in the day, Malinga was presented in the SC-ST Court here which had ordered to send him to jail for 15 days. But in such a situation, he had to be shifted to the District Hospital & kept in isolation.

Malinga had surrendered in Jaipur on Wednesday but CB-CID had brought him here the same evening and it was mentioned that he was arrested at Sadar police station here in the night. The CB-CID sleuths had taken the MLA to Bari Power House to inspect the spot of crime.

Malinga then underwent medical tests, including for COVID-19, before being presented in the court. After his corona report turned out positive, he has now been quarantined in the District Hospital instead of jail. The MLA is now planning to move the High Court for bail.
