Main accused held, dharna ends, last rights of victim performed

Karauli: Protest at Hindon District Hospital led by Kirori Lal Meena over the rape and murder of a Dalit woman in Karauli ended on Saturday after the arrest of the main accused, Golu Meena. Golu Meena and his father have also been arrested and the two are being interrogated. The police ensured the security and transported the body of the woman to her village, where the last rites were performed.

Meanwhile, the deceased woman’s uncle, Om Prakash Bairwa, has alleged that mother of deceased was kidnapped from the protest site while her father, who returned from Dubai, was kidnapped from Jaipur Airport. A complaint has been registered. State BJP in-charge Arun Singh visited the village and said that pressure is being made on the father of the deceased.
