Longewala hero Bhairon discharged from hospital

Jodhpur: Bhairon Singh, who displayed valour in the Battle of Longewala, fought in the Thar desert during the Indo-Pak war in 1971, sent home by the BSF on Saturday after being discharged from the hospital.

With his strong will power, Singh has overcome the disease and now the eighty-year-old warrior has fully recovered. Singh, who was admitted to AIIMS Jodhpur for the past 17 days, was discharged on Friday night.

Singh, a resident of Solankia Tala village in Jodhpur district, retired from BSF in 1987. His son, Sawai Singh, said that he was admitted to AIIMS on September 27 after having chest pain and fever.
