Lawrence denies charges, calls case false in court
Jodhpur: Lawrence Bishnoi’s statements were recorded in court via video conferencing from Sabarmati Jail in connection with a case involving extortion and attempted shooting. The proceedings took place before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate No. 7, Harshit Hada. Bishnoi, while responding to the court’s questions, vehemently denied the charges, calling the entire case false. He further alleged that the police had falsely implicated him by fabricating evidence. “I was in jail at the time, so it was impossible for me to make any threats over the phone,” Bishnoi stated. The case revolves around accusations of extorting money from travel businessman Manish Jain, as well as an unsuccessful attempt to shoot at Jain’s office due to a malfunctioning revolver.
Lawyer Sanjay Bishnoi said that Lawrence told the court that the police was implicating him.
