LATE CHAUDHARYJI FOUGHT FOR RIGHTS OF FARMERS & POOR: CM

Bharatpur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot during the event held to mark the 120th birth anniversary celebrations of former PM Late Chaudhary Charan Singh at MSJ College Ground in Bharatpur, said that State Government is taking important decisions in the interest of the farmers. “Schemes dedicated to the farmers are being run by the government. Apart from providing financial support to the farmers of the state through these schemes, their lives have become prosperous. Farmers are an important link in the economic policy of the State. In view of this, for the first time in the country, our government presented a separate budget for the farmers,” Gehlot said. During this, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works worth about Rs 693.91 crore in the region. The CM said that Chaudhary Charan Singh was rich in revolutionary thoughts. “His entire life was a struggle, but still Chaudhary ji did not give up. Late Chaudhary ji also played an active role in the freedom struggle. Even after independence, he kept fighting for the rights of the farmers and the poor,” he said. Gehlot said that Rajasthan is the leading state in the whole country in terms of public welfare schemes implemented in the field of health. “Through the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, the burden on the common man’s pocket has reduced. Under this scheme, treatment up to Rs 10 lakh has been made free for the people of the state. ” he said, adding that state is continuously progressing in the field of education & masses are benefitted by various welfare schemes. During this, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes at the statue of Maharaja Surajmal and inaugurated the district level development exhibition on the completion of four years of the State Government.
