Kota: Tigress MT4 in Mukundra Tiger Reserve in Kota passed away on Thursday. The tigress was undergoing treatment for inflammatory bowel disease and was being treated under the supervision of a team of wildlife experts and doctors from Kota, Jaipur & Ranthambore.

The tigress was about nine years old and was brought from Ranthambore to Mukundra Tiger Reserve to mate with tiger MT3.

Although, the breeding of tigers has been stopped in Mukundra Reserve since 2020. Earlier, MT 2 tigress, MT 3 tiger had died while MT 1 tiger went missing. Besides, MT2 tigress had given birth to two cubs here, out of which one cub died and the other cub is missing.
