Kota: Girl’s killer reveals he came with suicide on mind

Kota: The 17-year-old girl who was murdered in Kota by her boyfriend over a failed love affair was allegedly first raped and then killed by the accused, police said on Friday. Police said the accused identified as Kishan Thakur (22), a resident of Gujarat’s Gandhinagar, had raped and killed the victim. “The accused came from Gandhinagar, Gujarat and killed the girl. During the investigation, Kishan revealed that he came to Kota to commit suicide, but later he changed his mind and killed the girl,” police said.

Police said the girl, who belonged to Chattisgarh, was preparing for the NEET exam in Kota. She came in contact with the boy through Instagram six months ago. “The accused got angry after the girl stopped talking to him. After coming to Kota, he came to know that the girl no longer wanted to have a relationship with him,” police added. “The accused arrived in Kota from Gandhinagar on June 4. He called the girl to meet him for the last time. On June 5, the girl went to a hotel to meet him where she was raped. On June 6, the accused again called the victim and took her to a nearby forest area.
