Jaipur wins championship, beats Kota by 8 wickets

Udaipur: Under the aegis of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), Colvin Shield cricket competition concluded in Udaipur, where team Jaipur played brilliantly in the final on Monday and defeated Kota. Abhijit Tomar and Manendra Singh displayed good cricket and led the team to become win by 8 wickets. Batting first, the entire team of Kota was dismissed for 198 runs in 48.3 overs owing to the tight bowling by team Jaipur. Kunal Singh scored 40 and Sachin Malav scored 36. Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shubham Sharma and Lakhan Bharti took 2 wickets each. Chasing the target of 199 runs, Jaipur scored 179 runs unbeaten, giving a great start, openers Manendra Singh (97 runs) and Abhijeet Tomar (89 runs) led strong foundation. In the closing ceremony, Director of Rockwoods School Anil Sharma, Secy of RCA Mahendra Sharma, Joint Secy, Mahendra Nahar and Shakti Singh, Giriraj Sanadhya, Anas Pathan, Manoj Bhatnagar and Manoj Chaudhary presented individual prizes and trophies to the players.
