Jaichands were responsible for my defeat in Taranagar: Rathore

Churu: Former LoP and senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore blamed betrayal as a cause of his defeat in Assembly polls and targeted some BJP leaders in gestures.

“This time there has been defeat in elections. The public’s decision is acceptable, but many Jaichands also played their role. Many people are trying to come closer to power by smooth talk but having malacious intentions beneath. The workers are eager to pull the mask from their faces,” said Rathore while talking to media in Sadulpur, Churu on Monday.

On the reasons for his defeat, Rathore said, “My own weakness was the reason for the defeat. I went to a land where votes were to be harvested but I sowed it even before leveling it. The type of ground work that should have been done was not done. The workers worked hard. The entire responsibility for the defeat is my own.” On question of contesting Lok Sabha elections, Rathore said, “I am a grassroots worker, whatever is the order of the party, it will be accepted.”
