It was CM Gehlot’s courtesy visit, nothing to do with politics, says Suryakanta Vyas
Jodhpur: CM Ashok Gehlot, who came to Jodhpur on a three-day visit, surprised everyone by suddenly reaching the residence of BJP MLA Suryakanta Vyas late on Tuesday night. This time, BJP has cancelled the ticket of Vyas and made Devendra Joshi the candidate from Sursagar, while Congress has not yet declared the candidate from Sursagar area. With CM’s visit, many speculations have started in the political circles.
“We had not met for a long time. CM Gehlot had come to enquire about my health as a courtesy meeting. BJP is my mother. I am not going anywhere leaving my mother. There was no political discussion of any kind with CM Gehlot. Apart from discussing family, there was a lot of gossiping,” Vyas said reacting to political speculations.
There was a closeddoor discussion between Gehlot and Vyas for about 15 minutes. Gehlot had a few days ago said that Vyas praised him, hence BJP cancelled her ticket.
