Indian Army defuses live bomb near India-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer: The bomb disposal squad of the Indian Army’s Konark Corps defused a bomb near the international border in Khariya village of Jaisalmer. The bomb disposal squad took bomb away from the village to carry out the defusing operation. Several army officers and soldiers were present at the site during the operation.
After the bomb was defused, villagers breathed a sigh of relief. Tanot police station in-charge Om Karan said that on Oct 23, villagers informed police and BSF about the bomb found by a shepherd in a deserted area. The bomb was live and was kept safely in a sand bag and was diffused on Sunday.
