IAF Crash: Army jawans, police, air force officials gather at site

Bharatpur: An Indian Airforce plane - Mirage 2000 - crashed in Bharatpur on Friday morning. Sources informed that the incident occurred at Nagla Bija under Ucchain Police Station and two people were onboard the aircraft. The debris fell at different places and was scattered 500 meters in the area.

The plane took off from Agra and caught fire midway 10 kms before it crashed. The Indian Airforce has ordered a court of inquiry in the incident. Following the incident, officials of police and district administration reached the spot and started rescue operations. Air Force officials from Agra too reached the spot to investigate the incident. The locals also gathered at the incident site immediately after the fighter jet crashed and tried to rescue the victims. However, no information has been revealed about the pilots on board.
