Husband kills pregnant wife over suspicion of illicit affair

Chomu: A married woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband in Jaipur's Samod area on suspicion of an illicit affair, police said on Tuesday. The couple was married in April this year, said police. “The incident took place at Santon Ki Dhani in the Samod area. The accused husband, Lal Chand Sharma, had suspicion on her pregnant wife of an illicit affair. The accused had frequent fights with his wife over the suspicion of her affair. On Tuesday, Lal Chand Sharma hit his wife with a stone and later stabbed her to death,” said Samod SHO Pooja Punia. “The couple married on April 21, 2022, and the victim was pregnant. An FSL team reached the spot and collected samples following the incident. The accused has been detained and is being interrogated,” added SHO Pooja Punia.
