Highways will give impetus to industrial devp: Gadkari

Udaipur: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari during the foundation laying and inauguration preogramme in Udiapur said, “I am very happy that we are making the roads of Rajasthan at par with the roads of the world.”

He assured that before the end of 2024 national highways of Rajasthan will be at par with the national highways of America. He said that in Rajasthan, the Centre is building express highways costing Rs 60,000 crores apart from the 1382 km Delhi Mumbai Express Highway being built for Rs 1 lakh crore, of which work of Rs 22,000 crore has been done in Rajasthan. Gadkari said that with the completion of the construction of 23 kilometer 6 lane bypass Greenfield Expressway in Udaipur at a cost of Rs 900 crore, Udaipur city has got relief from the traffic pressure going to Ahmedabad.

He said that completion of the Udaipur-Chittorgarh Highway will also provide relief from traffic. The work of NathdwaraCharbhuja via Haldighati, Kumbhalgarh 2 lane road, Deval-Dungarpur-Sagwara road will also be completed in 2024.

CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that state govt has announced Maharana Pratap Corridor in budget and double-engine govt will work at high pace.
