High Court rejects Asaram’s plea on jail sentence

Jodhpur: High Court has rejected the sentence suspension plea of self-styled godman Asaram. This was the third consecutive sentence suspension plea of Asaram that was dismissed by court. The Division bench of Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice Vineet Kumar Mathur dismissed his plea after hearing arguments of the concerned parties. Senior advocate Devdutt Kamat argued that Asaram is in jail for 9 years and 7 months and is suffering from ailments and he should be granted relief.
