H’garh rape victim ends life, SP says girl was in live-in, probe on

Hanumangarh: In a case related to suicide by a rape victim, Hanumangarh Superintendent of Police Sudhir Chaudhary held a press conference on Friday and said that the victim and the accused were in a live-in relationship for six years and police have done complete research on the case registered against the accused in the women’s police station, but due to live-in relationship, rape was not confirmed. He said that is why the accused JEN, Ramgopal Sharma, was not arrested. Chaudhary also said that the information about the suicide was given by the family members after the last rites of the woman were done. “This is why police are investigating the case from both the angles of suicide and murder,” he said, adding that the victim had given a written agreement in the women’s police station.
