HC rejects SOG plea against relief to Minister Shekhawat

Jodhpur: Rajasthan High Court has rejected an application of Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan police to revise an order on Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat’s petition in connection with Sanjivani cooperative society scam.

The High Court last week granted stay on the arrest of Shekhawat while hearing a criminal miscellaneous petition filed by the Union Minister.

The SOG moved an application in the high court saying that all facts were not presented before the court requested the court to amend the old order in view of the new facts.

However, the court rejected the application and directed to present the case in next hearing.
Shekhawat had moved a petition on March 24 for quashing the FIR in the case and transferring the probe to the CBI.
