Have no ambitions, not in race for national prez: Om Mathur

Jodhpur: BJP leader Om Mathur during his visit to Jodhpur interacted with the media and clarified that he had no ambition and was not in the race for national president. “If there is a permanent post anywhere in the party, it is that of a worker and I to be a worker,” he said.

Mathur attacked the state government and said that the people were getting troubled because of their mutual quarrel. “Law and order has deteriorated in Rajasthan. People are waiting for elections to back the BJP government,” he said.

On the strategy for the upcoming elections, Mathur said that work is on at the booth level and BJP would form the government with a huge majority.

Mathur also visited the residence of senior advocate Lekhraj Mehta and expressed happiness over his good health and said that even at 100, Mehta looked healthy. He praised Mehta’s contribution in the field of advocacy.

Mathur mentioned his association with Mehta for 42 years and said that after the big incident in 1993, Mehta was called to Jaipur. He won the case in the Supreme Court. Five govts were dissolved in 1992 and Mehta's contribution in securing the CM will be remembered.
