Jodhpur: The 19th convocation ceremony of Jodhpur’s Jai Narain Vyas University began on Thursday at the New Campus. Governor Kalraj Mishra, the chief guest of the programme, awarded gold medals to 75 students -- 41 girls and 34 boys. The Governor said that convocation is not the end of education but the beginning. “Students will be able to make good use of the knowledge acquired for the nation and the society.

Education which moulds a person and inculcates values of humanity is meaningful,” he said, while appreciating girls for getting gold medals. He also said that education frees people from their ego.
