Group clash leads to tension in Karauli, situation under control

Karauli: A minor altercation between two groups in Karauli led to the closing of markets on Thursday. Police said youths from two communities clashed over a minor issue at Bhudara Bazar of Karauli city. Taking prompt action, the police arrested the three accused and beefed up security in the area. “Markets were immediately closed down after rumours spread like wildfire.

Heavy police personnel were deployed in parts of the city to maintain law and order. Karauli SP Narayan Togas, Collector Ankit Kumar Singh reached the market and appealed people not to pay heed to the rumours and maintain peace.
