GRANT OF MORE THAN RS 2,313 CR GIVEN TO GAUSHALAS IN 4 YRS: CM

Udaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, on Monday, inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Centre in the premises of Udaipur Milk Producers Cooperative Union located in Govardhan Vilas. He inspected the Centre and appreciated the development works. Gehlot also addressed cattle rearers at the Milk Day function.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has left no stone unturned in the all-round development of farmers and animal rearers. “In the last 4 years, a grant of more than Rs 2,313 crore has been given to gaushalas, while the previous government had given only 150 crore rupees to gaushalas in 5 years,” he said.

At the function, Gehlot presented a chequeof Rs. 1 lakh to Babulal of Wali Samiti and Rs. 1 lakh to Vardi Bai of Pithalpura Samiti from Secretary Welfare Fund. Under the Saras Ladli scheme, FDs worth Rs 5500 were presented to Yashasvi Kanwar of Toda, Lakshitha of Utherda, Reena of Nandvel and Harshita Patel of Dangikheda for maximum mil collection.

CM Ashok Gehlot on Monday laid the foundation stone of Global Institute of Jainology and Prakrit Bhawan at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. He also took the blessings of Acharya Vardhaman Sagar Maharaj at Panch Kalyanak Mahotsav.

The CM said that this building will prove to be important from the point of view of study, research and knowledge of the origin and development of Jain.
