GOVT’S PLANS AND SCHEMES WILL ENSURE OUR VICTORY: GEHLOT

Sardarshahar: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has claimed that Congress will win the Sardarshahar by-election unilaterally due to the multiple decisions taken by the state government in public interest. Gehlot, who reached Sardarshahar to campaign in support of Congress candidate Anil Sharma in the byelection of Sardarshahar assembly constituency in Churu district, made this claim before media on Thursday. He said that in the last eight by-elections in the state, the Congress has won six and in these the deposits of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been forfeited and it has been at number three in these eight by-elections.

“The Sardarshahar by-election is important for us and the decisions taken by the state government so far have not been taken by any state in India. Whether it is to restore the old pension scheme for employees, health insurance and MGNREGA. Due to plans, policies and schemes, the public has understood that it is the Congress government that is protecting their interests,” Gehlot said. On the statement of Leader of Opposition Gulab Chand Kataria regarding the byelection, Gehlot said, “Kataria and all these people are furious that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is coming to Rajasthan on Dec 3. Congress would win with a huge margin. The issues which are on the hearts and minds of the people are the issues raised by Rahul Gandhi. That is why the BJP has become distracted and is doing unrestrained propaganda through social media and other mediums.”
