Govt is working on priority to supply water: CM

Udaipur: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said the state govt will not only start schemes, programmes and innovations but will also complete them in time bound manner. He said that the Dewas III and IV project has been started to ensure year-round drinking water supply in the city of lakes, Udaipur. This will fulfill the drinking water demand of Udaipur, he said on Friday while addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Dewas Project: Third and Fourth Dam and Tunnel construction work in Gogunda, Udaipur. “Our government is working on priority for the supply of drinking water in the state. The recent historic MoU between ERCP and Tajewala Headworks will ensure water availability in Eastern Rajasthan and Shekhawati region. The work of bringing these schemes on ground has also been started,” he said. He said that PM Narendra Modi has a desire to make India a big wedding destination in the world and in this direction, Udaipur has emerged as a major wedding destination. He informed that the islands of Banswara will also be developed as tourist destinations. He inspected models of 3rd and 4th phases of Dewas project.
