Governor calls for special emphasis on technical edu

Kota: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Wednesday chaired the 12th convocation ceremony of Rajasthan Technical University (RTU).

The convocation was held at UIT Auditorium in Kota wherein Former Vice Chancellor of Tezpur University (Assam) VK Jain was the chief guest of the ceremony.

While addressing the gathering, the Governor said that the role of engineers in the progress of any country is exemplary and that is why there is a need to lay special emphasis on technical education. Nearly 21,000 degrees were distributed and 28 gold medals and 21 PhD degrees were also given during the ceremony

Later, the Governor visited the Chambal River front in Kota. UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal accompanied the governor during his visit. Dhariwal shared details of various idols, monuments, heritage sites and commercial blocks being built at Chambal River Front. Governor Mishra after seeing the Chambal River Front said that the entire riverfront is full of Indianness and this is a special feature of it.
