GM Dist Industries & Commerce Centre in ACB net for taking bribe
Pratapgarh: In a significant escalation of anti-corruption efforts in Rajasthan, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a senior official in Pratapgarh district. On Saturday, the ACB conducted a high-profile operation resulting in the arrest of Rajeev Garg, the Joint Commissioner and General Manager of the District Industry and Commerce Center, caught redhanded while accepting a bribe of 3 lakh rupees.
The raid was executed at Garg’s residence in Civil Lines, with additional investigations leading to the sealing of his properties in Jaipur. Garg is accused of soliciting bribes for processing benefits under the seventh pay commission, addressing pension issues, and handling arrears. The ACB apprehended him while he was accepting the bribe from a complainant.
Additional Superintendent of Police said that Garg will be taken on remand & the house and flat will be searched. At present, action is going on from the department.
