Gehlot like father to me, I don’t mind his statements: Pilot

Tonk: On Monday former Dy CM Sachin Pilot, replying to a question on CM Ashok Gehlot’s recent remarks, said that in the past too Gehlot had called him ‘Nikamma, Nakara’.

“He is experienced, old and like a father figure to me. If he says something, I do not take his words in a negative sense,” Pilot said and added that Rahul Gandhi has praised his patience.

“No one should be unnecessarily upset by this statement of his. It should be taken in the right spirit. I agree that Rahul Gandhi appreciated my patience so much, after that there is nothing left to say,” Pilot said.

In Union Minister GS Shekhawat’s case, Pilot said, “We were in government yet lost the election from Jodhpur. It was our mistake. If we had been successful in LS polls, he wouldn’t have been able to become a minister. In the next LS elections, the Congress will win from Jodhpur. The mistake we made in the past will not be repeated and this time Gajendra Singh will be defeated,” he said.

Pilot said that he is constantly talking to Sonia Gandhi & Rahul Gandhi on how govt can regain power.
