Gehlot fires at BJP: Even your ancestors can’t make a Congress-mukt Bharat

New Delhi: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has launched a scathing attack on BJP’s slogan of making a Congress-free India. In the satyagraha dharna of Congress at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, Gehlot stressed that Congress does not have personal enmity with PM Modi and BJP, rather “we have an ideological fight with them”.

“BJP leaders consider us enemies and talk about making a Congress-free India. If your father and grandfather also come, even then Congress-mukt India will not be a possibility. Congress is everywhere in the country, there is a Congress post in every village. This is an ideology, nation will never be mukt of Congress. Congress’ ideology is the DNA of the country,” Gehlot said.

The Chief Minister said that BJP and RSS want to run the country by their thinking and not by the constitution and law. “Their thinking is very dangerous. RSSBJP have mastered corruption. Ask if you have any friends in the ED or Income Tax, corruption has increased 10 times in the country.

These people are looting the country, that’s why they stopped talking about Lokpal,” he said.

Gehlot also targeted the Centre for detention of Congress leadersworkers opposing the ED questioning of Rahul Gandhi and police entering the Congress HQs. He also took a jibe at BJP and questioned what would happen if the police entered the Rajasthan BJP office? “We have a government in Rajasthan, if BJP people protest in Rajasthan, should we behave the same way they did to us,” he said.

“I had sought time on 13 to meet CBI, ED, CBDT chiefs, on 15th, my brother was booked and a raid was conducted on 17th. Even during the political crisis, my brother’s place was raided. If any marriage takes place at my brother’s place for 45 years, then I go to the place as a common worker. My brother & I have had this relationship for 45 years. There is no estrangement, I have dedicated myself to Congress. Why should others suffer because of me? Just as no one knows PM Modi’s brother, similarly no one knows my brother. Will he like it when there is no BJP rule and the house of Narendra Modi’s brother is raided in Gujarat?” he said.

The C M claimed that the situation is extremely serious. “Right now, close friends and advisors of PM Modi and Amit Shah are not giving them the right advice. They must be nervous giving advice that I don’t know that the PM will get angry. A leader like Sonia Gandhi who didn’t take the post of PM was given the ED notice. There is a difference of night & day between becoming the PM and not becoming the Prime Minister. A great leader who left the post of Prime Minister, you have sent an ED notice to her. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are being harassed unnecessarily. We have met the President and have submitted a memorandum to the President regarding the current issues. Congress is fighting on the roads for its leader. Nobody wants to talk about inflation and unemployment in the country today. Are Agniveers are being made to make peons in BJP offices? BJP will have to withdraw Agnipath scheme.The agency people should be ashamed. But they too are under pressure because they have to do a job for the poor people,” Gehlot further said.

The Chief Minister also said that workers across the country are standing with Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. “Just as Indira Gandhi was sent to jail in 1977 and the atmosphere that was visible after that, a similar enthusiasm is visible today. If we had to do Jail Bharo campaign against the Centre, we will do it, we all will go to jails,” he said.
