Four killed as tractor used for illegal mining rams into tempo
Alwar: Four people, including three children, were killed in Kathumar town of Alwar district on Thursday night when a tractor filled with illegally mined sand rammed into a tempo.
Following the incident, the villagers set the tractor on fire and pelted stones on police Jeep and fire brigades.
“The incident took place on KathumarBanokhar road near Khera Maida village in Kathumar when the victims were heading towards Sunyana village. Murari Lal and his three died on the spot while his wife sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Kathumar and later referred to Alwar,” police said.
“The villagers gathered after the incident and set the tractor ablaze. The Behtu Kalan Police reached the spot, but the villagers started pelting stones of the police. ,” police added.
