Forest of Sajjangarh keeps burning even after 24 hrs

Udaipur: The fire that broke out in forest of Sajjangarh here on Sunday could not be completely controlled even after 24 hours. Fire is raging despite continuous efforts by teams of forest department, & civil defense.

Three fire brigades with 24 personnel are on spot to control fire. Udaipur collector Tarachand Meena also remained on spot. Meena has sent a requisition to IAF for one helicopter & preparations are being made at Army Station Helipad. DFO Dr. Ajit Unchoi said fire broke out towards Gorela View Point. After dusk, helicopter returned, while fire appeared to remain on side of large area, so now extinguishing will start at dawn.
