FOREST MINISTRY GIVES NOD FOR KOTA GREENFIELD AIRPORT

Kota: The Ministry of Forests and Environment and Central Wildlife Board has given its nod for greenfield airport in Kota. A meeting chaired by Forest and Environment Minister Dr Bhupendra Yadav gave its approval for construction of the airport in Kota following the efforts of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Birla thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav after the approval was issued.

Now, the Ministry of Forest and Environment will issue the letter to the State Government. After receiving the letter, the State Government will have to deposit the diversion money. After depositing the diversion amount, this land will be mutated in the name of the airport authority. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project will be prepared and the construction work of Kota airport is likely to begin in 2023.
