Firing on Kerala & Ajmer police teams

Ajmer: An instance of firing on Kerala and Ajmer police officers who were on their way to apprehend two criminals has surfaced in State. Kerala Police had arrived in Ajmer in pursuit of the miscreants.

According to reports, Danish Khan (23), a resident of Haridwar (Uttarakhand), and Ikram were absconding in Kerala after stealing Rs 45 lakh. They were attempting to apprehend them with the assistance of Ajmer police, when the miscreants opened fire on the police.

Ajmer’s trainee IPS Sharan Kanwale Gopinath was also hurt in the crossfire between police and the miscreants. However, both criminals have been arrested. On Tuesday at 11:30 p.m., the incident occurred in Kamani Gate of the Dargah Police Station.
