Female BJP worker gets death threat over social media post on Gyanvapi

Alwar: A female BJP worker in Alwar has allegedly been threatened with dire consequences after she wrote a post on social media. The victim, Charul Agarwal, an IIT Delhi pass-out, received a threat letter outside her flat located at Shalimar Awas Yojana Extension in Alwar. “At around 7:45 am on Monday, Charul Agarwal came out of her flat to drop her children to school. She then spotted a letter near the widow,” police said. “As soon as she opened the letter, she went into shock after reading it. The letter bearing her name stated that Gyanvapi is ours and will remain ours. If you write a post about our religion, then you will face a similar fate as Kanhaiylal Sahu. The victim has received a death threat and the accused has threatened to kill her by September 25,” police added. A police complaint has been filed in this regard and the matter is being investigated by the officials.
