Farmers protest over Jawai dam water
Jalore: Farmers in Jalore continued their Mahapadav protest, gathering in large numbers in front of the Collectorate to press for their demands. Key among their grievances is the allocation of water from the Jawai Dam.
Farmers from villages across the district converged on the site, while local trade associations showed solidarity by keeping markets closed. Protesters blocked roads and set tyres on fire at major intersections. In response to the protests, heavy police deployment was conducted in various areas to maintain order.
