Excise department announces rabate to liquor traders

Jaipur: The government will now run the shops falling in the last round of auction of liquor shops on April 28. After three phases and 10 rounds of auction, the Excise Department has failed to auction or renew 1890 liquor shops in the state. Excise Commissioner Prakash Rajpurohit on Saturday issued orders for the final round of auction of liquor shops on April 28, along with giving rebate to liquor traders and also to beer makers.

On April 28, the liquor shops which will not be grabbed in the auction will be allotted to RSBCL, Ganganagar Sugar Mill and Rajasthan Tourism Corporation. Some provisions of the excise policy were also amended to make it flexible.
