Electric buses to ply in Sariska Tiger Reserve

New Delhi: Electric buses will ply in the Sariska Tiger Reserve area. Rajasthan government’s affidavit in Supreme Court in TN Godavarman case. Government has tied up with a private organization to run buses.

An expert committee has been constituted under the leadership of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and others on behalf of the Supreme Court and it has sought reply from Rajasthan government in six weeks.

The Rajasthan government plans to run a total of 21 enviroment friendly electric buses. Entry will be from two gates (Sariska/Tehla). Senior advocate Dr Manish Singhvi filed an affidavit in which he apprised the Supreme Court about the work being done by the government in the matter of rehabilitation of villagers living in the forest area.
