Eight detained after clash in Udaipurwati, security beefed up

Udaipurwati: Police have detained eight youths in connection with the Wednesday night brawl in Udaipurwati in Jhunjhunu. Additional forces have been deployed here to prevent any untoward incident. Late that night, around two dozen youths armed with hockey and sticks came near a girl’s school here. Some of them allegedly barged into a house, ransacked it, beat up people and misbehaved with women.

According to the information, there is a dispute going on between the people of a community and Vikas Kumar Rathi. Kumar was sitting outside his neighbour Kamlesh Dandiya’s house on Wednesday night when over two dozen youths from a community came. Rathi ran away seeing them and the youths entered Dandiya’s house searching for him. When they did not find him, they went on a rampage.

After getting information, SDM Ram Singh Rajawat, SHO Bhanwarlal Kumawat reached the spot but the youths had fled.
