Efforts underway to ensure regular attendance at Assembly meets: Devnani
New Delhi: Vasudev Devnani, the Speaker of the Rajasthan Assembly, has emphasised his commitment to organising regular meetings for various assembly committees and ensuring that members, including MLAs and officials, attend these meetings consistently.
Devnani made these remarks during his visit to New Delhi on Wednesday. He expressed his goal of making all state assembly committees as effective as Parliament, with robust discussions on matters of state and public interest. He hopes that the committees’ reports will aid the state government in policymaking and governance.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani further noted that his innovations in the Rajasthan Assembly have been well-received. He proposed instituting a winter session for the State Assembly, akin to Parliament, to enable more meetings and discussions on state issues.
Devnani also plans to request a detailed report from the State government on the flood situation in various districts, including Ajmer, to seek adequate relief from the central government.
