Economic corridor to connect 3 refineries

Jalore: The 1300 km economic corridor, an important project of the Central government, is being constructed rapidly. The six-lane national highway, under the Bharatmala project, is being built from Amritsar to Jamnagar and will connect three refineries and many states. Ajay Vishnoi, Director Project NHAI, said, “This is an important project of the Central govt. It will be a gift to the general public.”

The construction of the highway passing through Jalore and Barmer is in progress. It will also connect the refinery in Punjab’s Bathinda, Pachpadra and Jamnagar in Gujarat and directly connect Punjab, Raj & Gujarat, besides many other states. After the construction of this National Highway, traffic will be smooth in three states. The deadline for completion of the 1300 km stretch is March 2024, but it will be completed before this. Connectivity in Jalore and Barmer districts will increase and people would be able to easily travel up to Punjab and Gujarat.
